As Paul wrote his second letter to the church at Corinth, he shared with them the trials he had been facing, as well as his travel plans, including plans to visit them twice. Paul used every possible platform at his disposal to spread the Gospel, and he used his changing of his former travel plans as an opportunity to highlight the absolute positivity of God.

“For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between ‘Yes’ and ‘No.’ He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and, as God’s ultimate ‘Yes’, He always does what He says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding ‘Yes!’  And, through Christ, our ‘Amen’ ascends to God for His Glory.” 2 Corinthians 1:19,20 NLT.

In Jesus, all of God’s promises have been completely fulfilled, and He is given to us that we might believe on Him and be saved. All the Grace, the Mercy, the Love, and the Overcoming Power of God are present in Jesus. And by faith in Him, we enter into the fulfilled promises of God. The “Amen” of our faith brings us into a relationship with God, bringing glory to God and salvation to our souls. For Life Eternal is to know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent.

Jesus is the ultimate gift of God, the fulfilment of every promise of God toward men. And by the ‘Amen’ of our faith, we enter into the realization of those promises in our lives.
